Question Yourself – 1 Nephi 9:51

“Question Yourself” is a series of posts that I hope will help us “search ourselves” as we search the scriptures. My method is simple: I just record one or several questions that popped into my mind when I read a certain scripture. In fact, most of the questions just echo the text directly! (and perhaps they are the most effective ones) I hope you gain more insight about yourself and the gospel as you consider your answers.

~1 Nephi 9:51~

“Wherefore, do not spend money for that which is of no worth, nor your labor for that which cannot satisfy…”

Question Yourself: How can I use my resources (time, talents, money, labor) more wisely? What things do ultimately have worth and do I dedicate myself and my resources sufficiently to those things?

  1. One of my New Year’s resolutions is to use my time wisely. So this blog posts is very timely for me as a couple of weeks of the new year have passed and I’m still trying to work on how to be more effective with time spend it more wisely. It’s hard to not just come home after a days work and put the kids to bed and then watch TV until we go to bed but Today’s that we have done something different I feel better about myself and hopefully I can continue on and make good use of my time. Thanks for the thought Provoking questions!
