Quote Wednesday #13

It’s Easter week, a special time to contemplate Jesus Christ’s atoning sacrifice on our behalf and to celebrate his glorious Resurrection. On Sunday, my husband and I are giving talks in Church. As I’ve thought about my Easter message, I have felt my heart stir within me.

And I stand all amazed. Christ indeed won the victory over spiritual and physical death for all mankind, but that is not all.

He has suffered for me. He has felt my pains, my trials, my sorrows.

Not only that, but he stands ready to scoop me up into his loving arms, to fill me with his peace. To give me strength I don’t have, and love I don’t deserve.

Thank you, my Older Brother, Savior, and Friend. Thank you.

And now, enjoy this video and this week’s quote by our beloved prophet, Thomas S. Monson.

“In our hour of deepest sorrow, we can receive profound peace from the words of the angel that first Easter morning: ‘He is not here: for he is risen.’”

“As one of His special witnesses on earth today, this glorious Easter Sunday, I declare that this is true, in His sacred name—even the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior—amen.”

(President Thomas S. Monson)
